The Love Justice ministries presents many different opportunities for education, training and advocacy for injustice. Here are some of the ways you can fight injustices, participate with Love Justice and get connected to what we are doing:

1. Pray for unity and compassion in the global church. Pray churches would answer God’s call to serve the poor and oppressed in their own communities and around the world.

2. Join the advocacy group and volunteer for the Love Justice anti-trafficking movement. Contact i61.8lovejustice@gmail.com. Offer your gifts and talents to other advocacy groups. Are you an artist wishing to help? Maybe you have a marketing background or an interest in research? Maybe you can mobilize people to raise awareness? If so, please contact Vineyard – Boise at 208-377-1477, or www.vineyardboise.org.

3. Children are at risk right here in our community. Get involved with the local foster care program.

4. Adopt-A-Refugee Family. There are vulnerable refugee families that want friendships and need help orienting to the western world. Please call Vineyard – Boise at 208-377-1477, i61.8lovejustice@gmail.com or contact World Relief at www.boise.wr.org, or the Agency for New Americans at www.anaidaho.org for more information.

5. Help the poor, oppressed, orphaned or families in need by volunteering with “Feeding God’s Children”, “Medical Clinic”, or “Garden O’ Feedin, or “Pantry” or teaching English to refugees. Please call Vineyard Boise 208-377-1477 www.vineyardboise.org.

6. Invite a speaker to provide training and education to your local faith or community or organization. For more information please e-mail i61.8lovejustice@gmail.com. Vineyard Boise and Catholic Charities of Idaho haves a group of experienced communicators available to help.

7. Successful victim identification is often done by people in the community. Can you recognize the possible signs of trafficking activity in your community? You could save someone’s life. See the list of what to look for at www.humantrafficking.org. Call the National 24 hour Hotline service if you suspect anything. The phone number is 1-888-373-7888. Interpreters are available 24/7.

8. Help to bring an end to domestic trafficking by volunteering with at-risk youth. Please contact the Celebrate Recovery Children’s ministry or get a list of other community service options at Vineyard Boise, 208-377-1477.

9. Buy fairly traded goods. Go to www.transfairusa.org for products and locations.

10. Go to your Neighborhood Watch or associations, share at your place of employment, talk to school teachers, organize radio broadcasts in rural communities, hand out flyers to migrant workers and put this document in your church bulletin.

11. Read articles and books. Rent a movie and invite others to watch “Trade”, “Human Trafficking” or “Born in the Brothels”.

12. Stop buying sex, and the fuel that feeds the demand, … pornography.
